DISCERNMENT THERAPY

Discernment therapy is a therapeutic approach for couples who are at a crossroads and uncertain about the future of their relationship. It is intended to assist couples in making decisions about their future, whether that involves reconciliation or separation. Discernment therapy is different from regular couples therapy as the goal is not to repair ongoing issues but to help couples move towards mutual understanding and clarity so that they can decide if they would like to continue the relationship. The therapist will offer a secure environment for the couple to better understand their emotions, fears, and concerns without persuading them toward a particular decision. Discernment therapy is a short-term and structured approach that is designed to help all parties feel informed and empowered to make a collaborative decision about the future of the relationship

you and your loved one may benefit from therapy if you hope to:

You and your partner are unsure about whether to continue the relationship

You’re in a relationship where one person is leaning strongly toward ending the relationship and the other is interested in reconciliation

You or your partner are needing a safe space to navigate difficult conversations about whether you want to stay and work on the relationship, or move forward toward a healthy separation.

You or your partner are questioning the relationship due to complex issues like infidelity, trust breaches, or longstanding conflicts.
